Houdetsi Festival

The Houdetsi Festival is a four day musical celebration featuring many of the world's foremost artists, representing the timeless traditions as well as the contemporary creative dynamic of modal music deriving from their various respective homelands. It is also an intercultural venue for artists and visitors from all over the world to interact with the local community of the island of Crete, thus promoting a constructive and fruitful exchange of artistic values and ideas.
