International Chamber Music Festival Schiermonnikoog

16 Mar 2019 - 21 Mar 2019
Schiermonnikoog, Netherlands Schiermonnikoog, Netherlands
The International Chamber Music Festival Schiermonnikoog is a six-day festival in October that combines music with nature. The festival also offers master classes, music documentaries, lectures and nature excursions. More than eighty national and international musicians come to the island every year to give concerts in its quiet surroundings. The intimacy of chamber music and the unique experience of nature on the island reinforce each other and give the festival its special character.
In addition to the festival in October, a festival for young talent is organized in March. This festival welcomes finalists and prize winners from various national and international competitions. Top talents from all over the world will have the opportunity to give concerts and follow master classes with renowned masters such as Nobuko Imai (viola), Jan Wijn (piano), Philippe Graffin (violin), and Jeroen Reuling (cello).
