International Lace Festival Lepoglava

International lace festival is oldest and biggest event in Lepoglava with 3 days program. From its beginning in 1997, Festival is focused on promotion of Lepoglava lace, and connecting Croatian and European lace centres. From 2010, Festival is held under high auspices of UNESCO committee for Croatia, and it gathers several countries each year. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the theme of the festival through rich exhibitions, interesting workshops and lectures. Festival also provides expert and scientific exhibitions and meetings. During the festival days, Lepoglava will offer visitors a variety of interesting accompanying cultural and entertainment events with an emphasis on the connection between cultural and natural heritage. The festival is marked by the European Heritage Days 2019. Usually we have several thousand visitors each year.

Theme of this year Festival is “Royal Lace”, and country partner is Kingdom of Spain. We are planning at least 10 countries to be present with their lace on our Festival, and all Croatian Lace centres also.
