International Puppet Festival of Tolosa - Titirijai

23 Nov 2019 - 01 Dec 2019
Tolosa, Spain

It is a festival dedicated specially to the world of children, although it has a section for adult audiences. Children have a close contact with the puppet theater as they are able to see, in their visit with their school, two puppet shows, which allows them to develop a critical spirit. Besides this, there is a children's jury that awards the prize for the Best Festival Show.

During the Festival, different talks with artists and workshops for professionals from the world of puppetry are also organized.

It is the third oldest puppet festival in Spain, throughout which, in its 36 editions, hundreds of companies from around the world have participated offering more than 1,200 performances, being attended by around 550,000 children from all of Euskadi , mainly from Guipúzcoa.

At present Titirijai is recognized as one of the European festivals with greater personality, for its careful atmosphere, tending to facilitate the meeting and communication between puppeteers coming from very different points of the world.
