International Youth Arts Festival
The International Youth Arts Festival is one of the UK’s biggest multi-arts festival for performers aged under 27, featuring some of the best new work from talented rising stars. 2019 will mark the 11th Festival in Kingston.
The 10-day festival hosts around 200 events, including: performances at Kingston’s famous Rose Theatre with circular auditorium and the Arthur Cotterell Theatre, with a live music outdoor stage at the historic Market Place.
The festival is delivered by Kingston-based charity Creative Youth and offers an exciting programme of theatre, dance, comedy, music, visual arts, spoken word and circus. Innovative young artists travel from all over the world to appear at the International Youth Arts Festival.
Over the last 10 years the growth has been phenomenal; more than 30,000 young people have participated in delivering the festival as artists, project managers, interns, volunteers in Kingston Upon Thames.
