Seasplash festival
The Seasplash Festival program includes urban, cultural, artistic and multimedia programs, and promotes the role of non-recognized artists at the local and national level. The festival was held from 19th to 22nd of July 2018 at the Punta Christo Fort in Pula, where it has been held for 16 years. This year, the festival will take place in the city of Šibenik from 18 to 21 July 2019.
Visitors are provided with free camping on the festival area, food, sanitary facilities, recreational and educational programs, and in the evenings cultural music contents featuring local and foreign famous artists. Seasplash Festival presents over 90 musicians and music collectives each year. The festival deals with independent music which which mostly relies on DIY and soundsystem culture (reggae, ska, punk rock, rocksteady, jungle, drum’n’bass, hip-hop, breakbeat, dubstep, elektronic music, etc.). Apart from the music segment, a very important part of the festival program consists of: visual installations on stage and visual installations within the festival area; workshops for festival visitors (intuitive percussion, contemporary dances workshop, aerial silk, dub yoga, video production workshop, soundsystem culture workshop) and ArtSplash colony, which promotes local artists dealing with urban culture (street art, graffiti, etc.).
