Since 2011 the Gap Arts Festival has brought an annual weekend of theatre, film, music and art to the townland of Ballythomas in the hills of north Wexford, where professional theatre hasn't been seen since the fit-ups came with a tent in the 1950's.
No village, no crossroads, no theatre, we build a stage, hire professional crews and equipment, adapt venues indoors and out, make The Gap Theatre, The Gap Cinema, and bring art, artists, live music, poetry, spectacle, and workshops for adults and children to parts that the arts would not otherwise reach.
The Festival provides mentoring and performance opportunities for musicians, writers, photographers and film makers. It also hosts workshops and satellite events throughout the year.
