Together For Beauty Summit OSLO 2024

05 Jun 2024 - 09 Jun 2024
Oslo, Norway

From June 5 to 9, 2024, Oslo will be graced with the exceptional gathering of composers, visual artists, and industry experts from around the globe for an inspiring Together for Beauty Summit.

In the storied halls of the Gamle Raadhus, the historic old council hall of the Norwegian capital, this 2024 Summit promises a vibrant exchange of creativity and thought leadership.

One of its highlight will be the Proclamation Ceremony of the Amor Artium Awards 2024, recognising outstanding participants from our First International Composition Contest. Enriching the celebration, chamber music concerts and solo recitals will showcase the brilliance of composers and performers alike, sharing both original compositions and the works of their esteemed colleagues.

An opera will unfold on stage, while open fora and challenging panel discussions invite all to engage in meaningful dialogue. In-depth presentations will delve into compelling topics that bridge art and philosophy.

United under the evocative slogan "Will Beauty Save Us?", this gathering will explore the transformative power of classical artistry in its many forms, seeking inspiration in the question that stirs our souls and creativity.

The 2024 Summit is designed to captivate new audiences and make a significant impact on industry members, offering a platform where classical music and art can thrive and gain renewed recognition. Our comprehensive approach ensures that artists, both established and emerging, are celebrated and uplifted through diverse channels that speak to the heart of their creative journeys.

By streaming, broadcasting, podcasting, publishing, and posting through a multitude of online channels, industry platforms, and our own sites, interfaces, and fora, we will reach an expansive global audience. This will empower us to inspire and mobilise artistic scenes that have often been overlooked or underestimated.

Whether through our live chamber music concerts, solo recitals, and opera performances, or our dynamic open fora and panel discussions, artists in development will find invaluable opportunities to learn, share, and be heard.

We are determined to illuminate their unique voices and talents, providing visibility that encourages them to rise and thrive in a supportive environment that champions the pursuit of artistic excellence.

Through this extensive digital presence, the 2024 Summit will help bridge the gap between artists and audiences, fostering a sense of community and collaboration that inspires lasting change in the industry and beyond.

We are Composers for Beauty, a new but deeply rooted movement of classical music composers from diverse nations. Our mission is to transcend modernism and revive the timeless beauty of music to uplift and improve lives.

We are committed to fostering a renaissance in music composition, where inspired composers uplift each other in a shared pursuit of artistic excellence and profound inspiration. Our dream is for audiences to embrace a new vision of beauty that can transform the world.

In this new era of service to Beauty and Faith, we seek to infuse our fatigued and searching civilisation with renewed hope, purpose, and wisdom. We aim to revive the legacy of our artistic forebears. Breaking away from the iconoclasts who have emptied our concert halls and extinguished hope, we offer an alternate path, leading to abundance, purpose, and the permanence of life.

At the 2024 Summit, our vision as Composers for Beauty is brought to life through a format that embraces the timeless beauty of classical and sacred music while fostering creativity across diverse genres. The summit's blend of chamber music concerts, solo recitals, and opera, alongside open fora and challenging panel discussions, reflects our commitment to inspiring a revival of universal beauty. By providing a platform where composers, visual artists, and industry experts can share their perspectives and celebrate art's transformative power.

The Summit is open to all and can also be followed through an online livestream. The programme encompasses 10 live chamber music concert, 1 chamber opera, 1 children concert concerts, 10 presentations/panels/Q&A on MUSIC/COMPOSITION and a bit of VISUAL ARTS/SCULPTURE/VIDEOGRAPHY.
