Treviso Comic Book Festival
The Treviso Comic Book Festival (TCBF) is an international event dedicated to the world of comics and illustration. Now in its 20th edition, the festival offers a vast cultural programme consisting of around 20 exhibitions, live performances, meetings with authors, workshops, an exhibition market with over 50 exhibitors including publishers and retailers, and events dedicated to comics, illustration, design and communication.
The festival aims to disseminate and enhance the language of comics and illustration as forms of culture in all respects. TCBF does not present itself as a mere market exhibition, but as an all-around cultural festival, with a calendar of initiatives stretching over more than a week. In recent years, the event has hosted well-known global artists and created networks of exchange and cooperation with organisations, publishers, associations and cultural offices from all over the world. The festival aims to mix comics with other art forms - music, literature, design, graphics, and illustration - in order to attract a diverse and culturally heterogeneous audience. Lastly, the peculiarity of the event is that it is a 'diffuse' festival in the city centre, capable of involving not only institutional exhibition venues, but also private galleries, clubs, shops and ateliers, in an attempt to create a cultural itinerary that involves the entire city.
