XI Folklore festival ''Pearl of Danube'' Budapest 2023

24 Nov 2023 - 27 Nov 2023
Budapest, Hungary

The international folklore festival “Pearl of Danube” takes place in the capital of Hungary, the beautiful city of Danube - Budapest. It has been organized by Blue Diamond Folklore Festivals. The first edition was held in 2012 and it takes place in the central square or theatre depending on weather conditions but it is one of the biggest festivals in Budapest. Participating in this festival you will discover all the beauties of Budapest, meet Hungarian culture, and enjoy the specialities of Hungarian cuisine. It offers a boat tour with guides on the private boat exclusively for the participants of the festival and gathering at the party in a traditional Hungarian restaurant (cards) with dinner and violins all night and an interactive Hungarian folklore show.

The festival itself accepts folklore dancing groups, chorus, majorettes, and musical bands whose performance is related to the tradition. The accommodation is provided in 3* hotels where you get two meals daily. The age of performers and the number of dancers in the group are not limited to children's folklore ensembles and adult groups are welcome to participate.

One performance is planned for each group so participants will have enough time for excursions and sightseeing. On request and in agreement with the organizer you may prolong your stay in Budapest or modify the dates of arrival to coordinate it with your flights. The organizer will help you to organize transfers and excursions if you are coming by plane.
