XIX. INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF OUTDOOR FILMS
The International Festival of Outdoor Films (IFOF) is a touring competition festival with eighteen years of history. It is one of the largest outdoor touring competition festivals in the world. In 2019 IFOF visited more than 50 places in Czech and Slovak Republic. IFOF focuses on sport and outdoor, adventure, extreme, adrenalin and travel film.
Fim authors from around the world (film studios, national and private TV companies, on both professional and amateur level) are part of the festival every year. IFOF films transport us to various places of our planet. Many of them have have big social as well as emotional impact. Outdoor film documentaries show unique and unrepeatable real-life experience.
Festival has four categories:
A) adventure and extreme sport film – sports in the nature
(except climbing, mounteneering and water sports), skiing, extreme
skiing, bikes, paragliding, speleology etc.
B) climbing and
mountaineering film – climbing sports, mountineering expeditions,
climbing on ice, polar expeditions, mountain landscape, man and
mountains.
C) adventure water sport film – rafting, water
sports, kayaking, canoeing, yachting, diving, surfing, long-distance
swimming, underwater speleology etc.
D) travel film (film travel
topic not ranked in categories A,B or C)
N) non competitive film
Films are not limited by lenghth or year of production!
Awards
a. main festival Award – GRAND PRIX
b. award in each
category (A, B, C, D) – 1st, 2nd, 3rd place;
c. special award
Winners will receive material gifts from sponsors and organizers of the IFOF, diplomas and a glass relief. Each participant of IFOF will receive a certificate and a catalogue of films. The main organizer states to send the award and a gift package not later than in 3 months after the end of the Festival – meaning lat screening in the last Festival town. IFOF organizer will publish the winning films in selected sport and public media in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and eventually in other countries. IFOF Organizer will also inform about the festival and, if possible, offer the winning films to TV companies in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and eventually other countries. In case of interest, the organizer will contact the copyright holder. Festival jury has the right, in justified cases, to exclude one or more of the above mentioned awards or to give more awards to one film.
